Nerikomi Envelope 008

$30.00
sold out

One of a kind slab-built stoneware envelope. Nerikomi is a Japanese technique that involves combining multiple colors of clay to create a pattern or design. The design for this envelope is created by combining two different clay bodies, then making thin cuts with a wire tool, and finally arranging those layers and rolling together on a slab roller.

Fired in a gas kiln, reduction environment. The surface was left unglazed but sanded smooth on the back. There is a hole in the back to accommodate hanging on the wall.

Price is for one envelope. Photo of the collection included to show the variation in size, finish and to demonstrate how they fit together as a group.

Ships by Friday, 12/13/24 via USPS or UPS to arrive in time for holidays. Shipping is automatically calculated as a flat rate per item. I will refund you for the overcharge if there’s more than a $1 difference. Local pick up (Denver, CO) is also an option.
