Milky Soda-Fired Envelope 001

$30.00
sold out

One of a kind slab-built stoneware envelope. Fired in a gas kiln where sodium carbonate (soda ash) is sprayed once the kiln reaches peak temperature. The soda ash vaporizes and adheres to the silica on the surface of the glaze which may alter the color and surface in unpredictable ways. This one picked up some cobalt blue speckling. There is a hole in the back to accommodate hanging on the wall.

Price is for one envelope. Photo of the collection included to show the variation in size, finish and to demonstrate how they fit together as a group.

Shipping is automatically calculated as a flat rate per item. I will refund you for the overcharge if there’s more than a $1 difference. Local pick up (Denver, CO) is also an option.
